[19 June 2026, Friday] – Rise N Shine Childcare Centre, located in SS2, Petaling Jaya, celebrated Father’s Day with a meaningful and interactive event that brought fathers and children together through a series of fun, hands-on activities. Instead of traditional games, families explored various activity stations where fathers and children worked together to complete exciting challenges. The celebration provided wonderful opportunities for parent-child bonding while allowing children to learn through play and real-life experiences.
🛒 Exploring the Mini Market Adventure
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Mini Market Adventure, where children explored different market-themed stations alongside their fathers, just like visiting a real marketplace.
At the Vegetable Market, children selected, sorted, and identified various vegetables while learning about healthy food choices and developing their observation skills. Together with their dads, they practised communication, decision-making, and teamwork in a fun and interactive setting.
The adventure continued at the Butchery Station, where children engaged in imaginative role play by preparing pretend meat, encouraging creativity and confidence through hands-on exploration.
Next, families visited the Fishing Station, where children caught toy fish using simple tools. This playful activity helped strengthen hand-eye coordination, patience, and fine motor skills while keeping everyone actively engaged.
The final stop was the Dumpling Making Station, where fathers and children worked side by side to prepare dumplings together. Beyond learning simple food preparation, the activity encouraged cooperation, independence, and quality family bonding as they shared the experience from start to finish.
🌱 Sensory Fun for the Little Ones
The younger children also enjoyed specially designed sensory activities that supported their early development through exploration and play.
At the Vegetable Plucking Station, little ones practised grasping, picking, and sorting vegetables, helping to strengthen their fine motor skills while satisfying their natural curiosity.
The Dumpling Sensory Activity gave children the opportunity to explore the soft texture of dough used to make dumpling skins. They enjoyed touching, squeezing, pressing, and rolling the dough with their hands, strengthening their fine motor skills while engaging in a fun sensory experience. This hands-on activity also encouraged creativity, curiosity, and confidence as children explored through play.
The excitement continued with the Chicken Run, where children competed alongside their fathers to catch and collect toy chickens. Filled with laughter and friendly competition, the activity encouraged teamwork while helping children develop their balance, coordination, confidence, and gross motor skills through active play.
