[25 July 2026, Saturday] – Sunshine Tots Child Care Centre in Kota Kemuning welcomed children and families to its Open Day for a day filled with hands-on activities, creative play, and meaningful family moments.
As a new branch of Tadika Si Cahaya, Sunshine Tots provides childcare and early learning experiences for children from 2 months to 4 years old. The Open Day gave families an opportunity to explore the centre, experience its learning environment, and discover some of the activities available for young children.
🎈 A Special Opening Ceremony
The Sunshine Tots Child Care Centre Open Day began with a warm welcome from a Tadika Si Cahaya student, who took on the role of emcee and hosted the opening ceremony. This was followed by a speech from the principal, welcoming families and children to the special event.
The founder and principal then officially opened the Open Day by popping the balloons, marking the start of the celebrations. Several current students were also invited to take the stage and share why they love Tadika Si Cahaya and Sunshine Tots, giving parents a sweet glimpse into their experiences at school. The opening ceremony ended on a cheerful note with a dance performance by the students, before families headed off to explore the different activity stations around the Sunshine Tots Child Care Centre.
🎁 Complete the Challenges, Redeem a Gift!
Adding an extra element of excitement, children were given a task card to complete as they explored the different hands-on activity corners prepared for the Open Day. Each activity corner featured a different challenge, allowing children to complete the tasks one by one, collect their progress and work towards completing the full task card. Activities included interacting with chicks, building with magnetic tiles, creating balloon animals, decorating lanterns, and making their own flower pots.
Each station gave children the chance to touch, create, build and explore, while naturally encouraging creativity, coordination, observation and problem-solving skills. And the best part? Once all the tasks on their card were completed, the children could redeem a special gift!

Sunshine Tots’ Open Day was more than just an introduction to the school. It was a meaningful celebration that brought together children, parents, teachers, and the school community.
From the heartfelt student sharing and cheerful dance performance to the exciting hands-on activities, the event created many happy moments for families to enjoy together. It was truly a wonderful day filled with creativity, connection, and memorable experiences at Sunshine Tots.
