Thousands of Malaysians with kidney disease can’t afford dialysis.
Did you know that more than 5 million Malaysians are living with chronic kidney disease (CKD)? The number of CKD cases is steadily rising, with nearly 9,500 new patients requiring dialysis each year. For these patients, the cost of dialysis treatments can be overwhelming, with annual expenses ranging from RM29,000 to RM39,800.
Therefore, Knowledge Tree is hosting a Charity Bazaar on 12th April to raise funds for the Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia, which provides free dialysis treatments and financial aid to low-income and underprivileged kidney patients.
The Tzu Chi Foundation is a global non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to helping those in need. In Malaysia, their dialysis centers and free clinics serve as a lifeline for individuals struggling with the high costs of dialysis, helping them live with dignity and access the care they need.
